How It Works

Understanding the xPayz payment and settlement flow

Merchant Payment Flow

From payment creation to settlement and reporting

1

Create Payment

Merchant creates a payment link, invoice, or QR code with specified amount and currency (USXP or BRXP)

2

Share with Customer

Payment request is shared via link, email, or displayed as QR code for in-person transactions

3

Customer Pays

Customer completes payment through hosted checkout using their xPayz balance or approved funding method

4

Ledger Settlement

Payment is recorded on xPayz ledger with tokens moving from customer account to merchant account

5

Confirmation & Reporting

Both parties receive real-time confirmation. Transaction appears in merchant dashboard with complete details

Settlement Flow

How payments settle on the xPayz ledger

xPayz operates a closed-loop settlement system using internal ledger-based tokens. When a payment occurs, tokens move between verified accounts on the xPayz ledger rather than through external payment networks. This architecture provides enhanced traceability, permission-based controls, and real-time visibility into settlement status.

Payment Initiation

Customer authorizes payment through xPayz checkout. Identity verification and balance checks occur.

Ledger Recording

Transaction is recorded on internal xPayz ledger. Tokens (USXP or BRXP) are debited from customer account.

Merchant Credit

Equivalent tokens are credited to merchant account. Balance updates occur in real time.

Record Retention

Complete transaction record maintained for reconciliation, reporting, and compliance purposes.

Identity-Bound Movements

All token movements on the xPayz ledger are tied to verified identities. Accounts must complete identity verification and comply with jurisdiction requirements before participating in payment flows. Transactions include full identity records for compliance and reporting purposes.

Settlement Access

Access to settlement functionality on the xPayz ledger is subject to jurisdiction-specific requirements and regulatory approval. Not all features are available in all locations.

Important: Merchants and consumers must complete identity verification, comply with local regulations, and receive approval based on jurisdiction assessment before accessing payment and settlement features. xPayz reserves the right to restrict access based on regulatory requirements and compliance review.
